Academy is the go to spot for my friends and I when we want to have a good time. One of the times I was there, my friend had way too much to drink. One of the security guards, Drake, spotted her and made a beeline to us. I thought we were going to get in trouble! But Drake was so nice. He was worried about the wellbeing of my friend. He brought her some water, had her sit down to drink it, and let us rest there while we waited for our Uber. Then he checked in on us on to make sure we were truly okay before we left. People like Drake is needed at all nightlife establishments so that women can feel safe while having fun.

I love academy la! I'm here pretty frequently. The most memorable night was when I went to Andrew rayel last year. Amazing set. Had a blast. One of the security guards Drake is sucha hero. I witnessed him saving a fellow who was so wasted from getting scammed by this girl. She tried to get $100 from him. The drunk fellow took out his wallet and was going to hand it to her when Drake stepped in and stopped it. Anyway, I felt safe in this establishment with Drake around because if I ever get wasted like that guy, he would protect me from getting scammed. Another time I was at the Jackson wang after party and everything was nice and organized. Love it

I very much enjoyed this venue for an EDM Friday set for San Pacho! There is plenty of standing room, excellent ventilation, and fun vibes overall. They usually work with Insomniac for fun EDM lineups, too! When arriving, there are a couple of parking lots on each side. The one we went to had parking for $20, which is pretty decent. The security checkpoint went fast and smooth. My favorite part of the venue was the LED ceilings; they made the experience even more fun. We took a bunch of pictures, which I usually don't do during a concert or event. I just take videos typically. There are bottle service tables on both sides and in the back, there is a bar. We just stayed in the back and worked our way up until the end of the night! Also, another perk is it's open until 3 AM; other clubs have a strict close at 2 AM. My night was unforgettable, dancing and vibing to one of my favorite House DJs.

I've been coming to Academy for years for both the day and night events. Insomniac always puts on a good show and the club production is great wherever you're at. The walkways and lower level get really crowded but the ~olders~ know that the upstairs is where it's at. No lines for the bar or bathroom and plenty of space to dance. Be sure to bring cash or card to grab a hotdog with the works, a post-show delicacy.

Again parking is still paid but there's two lots right beside the venue with plenty of room to tailgate. Going in very smooth, cool venue graphics. Definitely agree with the crowded aspect, if you come later ( near 11) you will not be able to get close to the front because its a lot of people, but it isn't stuffy at all and not as crazy as raves. There's also a nice hallway area in the front where you can wait for your friends. The bathrooms move pretty fast and are kept clean. I was able to experience a table, but I wasn't part of planning it. They had red bulls and bottles of water One unique thing is that the bottle girls actually mix alcohol with chase to create little cocktails so it is easier to drink. Shot glasses are also placed in a grid format so it's easier to keep it all together. The staff cleaned the table frequently even with the number of people dancing. The seats are wide and comfy to sit in, but the best is if you like an artist that is more lowkey and you like to headbang because they have rails and you'll have more of a chance to be close. 2nd experience with this venue is still solid :).
